2024 Cost Segregation – Summer Internship

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Internship to join our Cost Segregation Group.  This position can be virtual (but see travel requirements and geographical preference below).

 

YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our National Tax Team, which in turn supports the firm’s broader tax practice. The right candidate will have a growth mindset and look for ways to expand their knowledge within both the tax space associated with their specialized services and varying industries. They will also be eager to collaborate on thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging business goals.

 YOUR ROLE. 

As a Summer Intern, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing cost segregation studies.
  • Construction cost estimating, reviewing, and analyzing construction blueprints, physically inspecting client facilities, and drafting reports for clients.
  • Frequent (10% - 15% of time) out-of-town travel would be required, and direct client contact is expected as well.
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or other relevant area is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software - specifically Excel and Word.
  • 0-1+ year of experience as a cost segregation professional. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently manage a project from beginning to end. Work with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information to perform cost segregation studies.
