In New York City, the salary range for a Tax Manager is $105,000 to $170,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. The Tax Manager in our Private Client Services Group is expected to have high technical knowledge in review of individual 1040 returns, fiduciary 1041 returns and entity returns; manage accounts, train, assign work to staff and communicate directly to clients and partners; research topics; communicate directly with tax authorities as needed. 

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/Taxation
  • CPA, JD or EA required
  • 6+ years' experience in a public accounting firm
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, ProSystem FX, and BNA Tax Planner
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
