We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Private Equity Focused Partnership Senior Tax Manager to join the team in our Los Angeles or Woodland Hills office in a Hybrid or remote capacity.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables.
  • Assist senior tax leadership with private equity focused partnership income tax planning including modeling of partnership income allocations and partnership acquisition/disposition planning.
  • Documentation of significant partnership transactions including assistance with transaction structuring and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements through identification of client needs and proactive tax planning.
  • Coordinate efforts of firm specialists on client engagements including specialists in multi-state taxation, international tax, research and development credits and incentives and accounting methods
  • Actively participate in proposal development
  • Manage a team of U.S. and India based staff and senior associates while providing regular performance coaching and feedback.
  • Gain the respect and confidence of the tax partners through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership.

YOUR EXPERIENCE. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of experience in a National or Big 4 public accounting firm or related industry experience; experience in complex private equity operating partnership tax issues required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master of Taxation or JD preferred.
  • Active CPA license or passing of bar examination required. 
  • Strong tax research and writing skills.
  • In-depth experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of tax preparation software including ProSystem FX or Go System Tax.

In California, the salary range for Managers is $150,000 - $230,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
