CohnReznick LLP currently has an exciting career opportunity and we are seeking a junior to mid-level in-house attorney to join our Legal team to support our firm. Location in in Parsippany, New Jersey or New York, New York preferred.

CohnReznick is seeking a junior to mid-level in-house attorney with  5-12 years of experience in its fast-paced Legal Department. This Attorney will primarily focus on Firm contracting with clients and vendors and will report ultimately to our General Counsel. Prior in-house accounting/consulting experience strongly preferred.

CohnReznick is a top National Advisory, Assurance and Tax accounting firm with a team of over 3,000 employees in 28 cities. As a member of our 6-person and growing Legal Department, you will exposed to various legal issues, work with a collaborative Legal team, and interact with all levels of stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate varied client and vendor agreements to identify risk considerations and exposures.
  • Interface with Partners and employees, provide advice and support on contracts and agreements.
  • Counsel Partners and senior staff regarding various risk-oriented issues.
  • Preferred relevant experience with:Litigation or transactional matters; or Experience with emphasis on federal, state and local government contracting and compliance (RFPs, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements and contract awards, special purpose entities, GSA schedules, SAM), and data privacy
  • Special projects on a variety of issues

Education and Experience for Successful Candidates:

  • Preferred candidate has 5-12 years relevant experience in litigation or transactional; or government experience as outlined above
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Legal team in fast paced environment, with strong time and relationship management skills
  • Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation. Strong communication and writing skills a must.
  • Law firm experience preferred. Prior in-house accounting/consulting experience strongly preferred.  
  • Juris Doctorate degree with active license to practice required.
  • Must be able to work on projects simultaneously and change tasks quickly.
