CohnReznick is looking for a Senior Manager or Director of Audit Quality within our National Assurance Practice. This role is primarily virtual and may be located anywhere in the US or with any of our 25 offices nationally.

Prior experience in a technical role is preferred, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitating high-quality assurance engagements through the following:

  • The development and application of Firm methodology addressing multiple standard setters (PCAOB and AICPA SAS, SSARS, and SSAE)
  • The consideration of current and developing standards and practice and identification and application of appropriate changes to Firm methodology including for rapidly-developing matters and the effects on engagements
  • Active consultations with Firm client service personnel on complex assurance, reporting, and risk matte
  • Serve as an “in flight reviewer” on select PCAOB engagements. CohnReznick’s in-flight program monitors the quality of PCAOB audit work performed and provides real-time coaching tailored to each engagement before we issue our audit reports. In-flight reviews are conducted by dedicated National Office resources who have extensive knowledge and expertise in reviewing public company audit engagements.
  • Active consultations with Firm client service personnel on independence matters and the development and application of independence policies
  • Developing and presenting various trainings on Assurance-related topics with an emphasis on effective communication to make execution practical for Assurance personnel without sacrificing quality
  • Drafting comment letters to standard setters such as the AICPA, PCAOB, and IAASB on Assurance, Attest, and Independence exposure drafts

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess expertise and experience with AICPA and PCAOB engagements, as well as one or more of the following industries:

  • Consumer & Industrial
  • Financial Sponsors and Financial Services
  • Life Sciences & Healthcare
  • Public Sector
  • Real Estate
  • Renewable Energy
  • Technology & Media

The individual must possess the following:

  • 8-10 years of experience including previous experience with matters noted above
  • Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
