CohnReznick, a top 15 public accounting firm specializing in advisory, assurance and tax, is currently looking for a Deployment Center Technician Intern to join the CohnReznick Technology team from July - December 2023. This is a paid internship, in which the incumbent will primarily be responsible for providing IT hardware support for the firm and is required to be on-site in our Parsippany, NJ office at least 25 - 35 hours a week with overtime available.

Deployment Center Technician Intern

We’re seeking motivated, outgoing, friendly, and professional team player to join the CohnReznick team as a Deployment Center Intern. This internship offers practical work experience, an introduction to desktop support, assisting with IT hardware deployment efforts, and an opportunity to gain experience with technical operations. This internship will involve challenging opportunities, technical projects, and interaction with staff. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the computer field.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pulls and stages computer parts from inventory in preparation for deployment for on-boarding/off-boarding, and laptop replacement efforts. 
  • Ability to communicate and provide exceptional customer service to our end-users.
  • Work in an effective, consistent manner, maintaining quality assurance and compliance with established directives, policy, and best practices.
  • Assisting our ITAM practice in recording and tracking assets during deployment per standards and workflow procedures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, security and exercise the appropriate level of discretion regarding all firm issues and information. 
  • Service-oriented with good understanding of end-to-end processes.
  • Support laptop hardware components.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs.
  • Testing, evaluating, implementing, troubleshooting new technology for the firm.

Technical Requirements: 

  • General knowledge of MS Applications, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Some experience troubleshooting hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, printers) and software errors and failures.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and maneuver within IT equipment and network closets.
  • Common off the shelf (COTS) applications (MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
  • Connectivity: Internet and LAN/WAN, Remote Access clients (VPN, Citrix).

 Education and Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in an IT Support.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or ITIL certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
  • Ability to work collectively with the team manager and peers while managing multiple requests all while ensuring timely updates.
  • Analytic skills and ability to apply critical thinking and a methodical approach to problem identification and resolution.
