We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Advisory Proposal Sr Specialist to join the team in our Marketing Proposal team.

YOUR TEAM.  

The Advisory Proposal Sr Specialist reports to the Director of Sales Enablement and works closely with our Global Consulting Services and Value360 teams. The Advisory Proposal Specialist provides research, analysis, response services, and processing of various types of proposals and bids. Such documents may include: Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), pitchdecks, placemats and proactive proposals. These are collectively referred to as "RFx response documents."

The Advisory Proposal Sr Specialist maximizes company revenue and profit through wins and sales generated by responses to RFx documents. Our advisory team manages a high volume, of quick turnaround proposal requests.  The Advisory Proposal Specialist must possess the skills of adaptability, tech savviness,

YOUR ROLE.   

Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

    • You will be responsible for managing the proposal process from end to end, which includes:

      • RFP shredding, and strawman buildouts.
      • Scheduling, preparing for and executing successful kickoff meeting.
      • Research the customer to understand their environment, politics, limitations, hot points and other factors that will translate to a response that wins.
      • Identify and write win themes, ensure the win themes and proper messaging is carried throughout the proposal.
      • Provide feedback to account managers, partners, sales managers and directors regarding current and anticipated RFx.
      • Assemble stakeholders (proposal project team) to identify roles, responsibilities and timelines.
      • Prepare professionally written responses to RFx that specifically address customer requirements while positioning CohnReznick for success.
      • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of RFx responses while contributing to consistency of win themes.
      • Document and report on project status including eventual capture information and proper close out of opportunities including proposal debriefing and transition to engagement leads, where applicable.
      • Actively participate in department-sponsored and other training programs as applicable.
      • Contribute to the shared resources of the department and firm through contributions to content library and/or template development
      • Contribute to department or company projects assigned.
      • Contribute to proposal template creation and management.
      • When required, attend industry days or pre-proposal functions.
      • Lead post-submission exercises such as presentations, clarifications, ‘best and final offers’ and protests, where applicable.
      • Provide peer reviews where applicable.

    YOUR EXPERIENCE.   

    The successful candidate will have:  

        • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent relevant work experience
        • 2 year(s) writing or editorial experience
        • Experience responding to Professional Services RFxs and defining proposal strategy to attract technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and hospitality clients a plus!
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
        • Proficient in Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat
        • Strong organization and time management skills
        • Strong attention to detail and follow-up
        • Deadline focused and ability to work under time constraints
        • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
        • Comfort with delegating proposal components to the right SMEs on the pursuit team regardless of title.
        • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and other coworkers

        Preferred Qualifications

        • General professional services, contract and customer knowledge
        • Project Management experience
        • Working knowledge of purchasing requirements
        • Familiarity with proposal assembly software
        • Foundational to advanced knowledge of the Shipley Method is a plus
        • Professional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or PMI (Project Management Institute).
